Cator Woolford Gardens is one of my favorite locations in Atlanta to take photos. The grass is always beautifully plush and manicured and there is always something in bloom cascading around the pillars that surround the property.

Cator Woolford Gardens Maternity Photoshoot

The Flynn Family reached out to me to take their maternity photos this spring. This is the couple’s first baby therefore it was important to them to treasure the process by having photos taken. Because the Flynns are from the Atlanta area, they thought Cator Woolford Gardens would be the perfect nearby location for their maternity photos.

The Stairs

We started on the famous long staircase.

Anytime I visit this venue, I always begin the photoshoot on these stairs because they will get dark and shaded before anywhere else on the property. For many, these stairs are one of the biggest motives for choosing Cator Woolford Gardens for their photos and you can see why. These stairs are GORGEOUS!

The Gardens

Next, we walked over to the garden area where we stumbled upon some beautiful white and yellow flowers that I knew would coordinate well with the couple’s outfits and make for a lovely backdrop.

The Pillars

Cator Woolford Gardens feature stunning pillars that surround the inner part of the gardens. I had The Flynns sit together on the piece that holds them together for a lovely wide shot.

At this point, the wind picked up and small leaves rained all over the gardens. It was whimsical!

The Bridge

Afterward, we walked over to the small, stone bridge on the property that looks over the small stream flowing through the the property.

Then we went back over to the pillars one last time before finishing at the top of the hill.

Final Location

Lastly, as we we walked back up the hill towards our cars we decided to do one more photo at the top of the stairs. The sun was nice, low, and glowy.

Conclusion: Cator Woolford Gardens Maternity Photoshoot

All and all it was a great day photographing The Flynn’s maternity session at Cator Woolford Gardens. The sun gave us just enough light and glow to highlight these parents-to-be while the plush grass and blooming flowers added an extra bit of beauty that perfectly encompassed the new journey this couple is about to embark upon.
