she brought home from a trip to Germany (which was an extra special treat) and eat tea cookies made by my Nana while wearing our most special pastel dresses. We had many days like this and they were never long enough. My mother was wonderful at creating these kinds of activities for myself and my siblings and because of that these memories are engrained in me as a person and a photographer. I am forever drawn to all things whimsical, colorful and timeless. These moments are the reason for my choices as an artist. It is the reason I choose gardens, historic venues, green grass, soft colors, picnics, running around barefoot and lots of beautiful, natural sunlight.
was born and raised in Georgia and have sweet memories of spending spring evenings outdoors planting flowers in our yard with my mom and feeling like I had my own secret garden. Spending afternoons and holidays at my grandparent's house celebrating Easter and The Fourth of July on their 5 acres while making home made ice cream and climbing the tall magnolia tree by her house. We would pick honey suckles and blue hydrangeas and walk on the moss covered cobble stone steps beside the greenhouse to the gazebo and have a lovely tea party using my mother's best china tea set
Zachary and I met in our high school french class sophomore year. We had a common interest in music and movies and I thought he was the funniest and sweetest person I ever met. We went to college together and both majored in business at Kennesaw State University. Shortly after we also ended up moving to Kennesaw and have been here ever since with our three cats and dog. Ten years after we started dating Zach proposed to me and we immediately started planning our wedding that would take place later that same year.
We got married on a Thursday in Cades Cove, officiated by my dad. It was the most beautiful day we could have asked for. We had just immediate family join us and made all the benches and center piece. We waited 11 years for this day and I don't think it could have been any better.
